A year ago, The Level-Up Club was just an idea. I had this vision of creating the kind of business events women in Hull had been travelling to Leeds and Manchester for: beautiful spaces, inspiring speakers, practical learning and most importantly, a room full of women who genuinely want to see one another succeed.
My first Level-Up Club Retreat brought that vision to life in the most special way.
Set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, the day was created for female founders who needed a little time away from the daily chaos. As a mum, business owner and someone who is still figuring it out every day, I know how easy it is to put yourself at the bottom of the list while you’re busy building something incredible. This was our reminder that investing in yourself is investing in your business, too.
From the moment everyone arrived, there was such a lovely buzz in the room. We talked business, shared ideas, asked questions, made connections, ate well, did yoga, switched off - and drank and laughed a lot.
We heard from brilliant women in business, including Rachael Clarkson from R Clarkson Consulting, Jaz from JLH Social and Fiona Devine from The Eleventh Edit.

A private yoga session at Akasha Wellbeing Spa gave everyone the chance to pause, breathe and reset. Afterwards, we enjoyed the beautiful outdoor thermal spa, gardens and wellness facilities - the perfect treat to the never-ending to-do list and post-school-holiday mind fog.
What I love most about The Level-Up Club is that it has always been about networking differently. Yes, women come to learn practical skills and hear from incredible speakers. But they leave with something even more valuable: confidence, fresh perspective, friendships and often the beginnings of collaborations that would never have happened otherwise.
